Norse Hatchet

This model was sculpted and unwrapped in Maya, before being exported to Blender which was used for creating and applying materials. My primary reason for using Blender was the Cycles renderer. I’m happy with the final render and certainly the model itself.
To improve and develop the project further I would focus on the lighting and general scene. During development I found that putting a brighter light source at a greater distance made smaller, bolder shadows. For the final renders I went for the middle ground, giving a clear shadow while keeping the ‘softened’ style.
